Silent Ground 29 & 30 november
Rotterdam artist Esther Stasse is the curator and organizer of the first edition of Silent Ground, a new art fair focusing on materiality, craftsmanship, and tranquility. A carefully selected group of artists, designers, galleries, and museums will exhibit work at the Keilepand on November 29th and 30th, where materials, from ceramics to textiles, serve as the starting point.
Silent Ground brings together a carefully selected group of dozens of artists, designers, galleries, design/art hotspots, and a museum, all sharing a deep-rooted passion for materials. Whether ceramics, metal, textiles, glass, wood, or paper, for each of them, materials form the starting point for both substantive and formal exploration. Rotterdam's Waarvandaan, a hotspot for design and art, and the ICOON museum are among those participating. iCOON is creating a treasure trove in the Keilepand with works by iCOON artists and designers.
Esther Stasse: "In a time when everything seems to have to happen faster, Silent Ground wants to offer a place for peace, attention and reflection, where artists, collectors and enthusiasts meet around work that speaks from silence, craftsmanship and meaning."
