iCOON celebrates freedom for a week with all kinds of art forms: visual arts, music, spoken word, performances, silent disco, film or dance.
It is a different way to remember or experience freedom. The program is sometimes Hoeks, sometimes Rotterdam, but always comes together beautifully.
The white flag is central to this week COMPLETELY SURRENDERED. The Rotterdam landscape artist Sil Krol designed that white flag. On his flag with a one-person stage, iCOON announces the program of the day every evening or Sunday afternoon. The performances are provided by professional artists, but how special, sometimes residents or visitors of all ages also participate!
