FROM SOL TO NOW
ART EVENT
september 12 | 18:00-22:00
On Friday, September 12th, we're having a party!
We're throwing an art party with murals and sculptures, the five artists, music, and more...
With FROM SOL TO NOW, iCOON concludes the art year 2025
Once a year, iCOON honors an American minimalist from the 1960s. This year, Sol LeWitt (1928-2007), a minimalist of great significance to conceptual art, was chosen. His murals and structures inspired iCOON for this group exhibition featuring Nanna van Heest, Jelmer Noordeman, Joep Brouwer, Ropp Schouten, and Sigmund de Jong.
iCOON collaborated with Marleen van Wijngaarden, founder of Murals Inc., to select the artists/designers.
After two sneak previews on August 24th and 31st, the exhibition is now complete!
We will celebrate the outcome of this exhibition on Friday, September 12th (6:00 PM-10:00 PM). Meet the four muralists—designer Nanna van Heest and artists Jelmer Noordeman, Ropp Schouten, and Sigmund de Jong—and artist Joep Brouwer, whose sculptures connect the spaces of iCOON.
Jelmer's work can be found on the front facade, while the others are displayed inside iCOON.
Admission is free. The containerbar sells delicious drinks and snacks.
The program starts around 18:30.
You're very welcome!
